Steps
Fill out the pool party request form
H-REC pool party coordinator will contact you within 2 business days
Once you have been approved you will receive a contract that you must sign and return to H-REC with payment (Do NOT use the online payment method until your party is confirmed with the party coordinator)
Regulations
Only residents of the association are allowed to schedule pool parties. H-REC must receive approval by the property management company before a party can be schedule.
Requests must be given with at least 2 weeks notice of requested party date
No parties will be booked before/after pool season.
No parties will be booked on Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day)
Filling out a request form is not a confirmation of your party date
There is a two hour minimum for all parties. Each guard allows 25 people in the area (not just in the water). Anything over 50 will need one additional guard per 25 people.
The guard cost for parties is $25/ guard/ hour.
A minimum of two guards is required (but some properties require more than two)
Residents may request which guards they would like to guard their party, but that does not guarantee that those guards will be available.
Some properties require deposits and/or usage fees.
Payment must be received 5 days prior to the party date
Cancellations for any other reason than weather will be charged $25 unless cancellation is done 2 days prior to the party.
Pool parties can only be held outside of pool operating hours, or on days the pool is closed for cleaning.
Parties must end by 11:00 pm.
Inclimate weather Policy
A party can be rescheduled due to inclimate weather. The Houston Recreation Management main office must be contacted of this information.
If it is cancelled or rescheduled more than 2 hours before the party there is no fee.
If it is rescheduled or cancelled with 2 hours of the party start time there is a non-refundable fee of $25.
If it is cancelled and the guards are already on location, the homeowner will be charged for the first hour of pay for all the lifeguards.
No alcohol is permitted! No exceptions.
