Thank you for your interest in becoming a lifeguard for Houston Recreation Management! We believe that safety begins with above standard training for our lifeguards. Please read all of the information below about our in-house certification classes, and then register below.

All of Houston Recreation Management’s lifeguards must be American Red Cross certified.

We require:
Lifeguard Training w/ First Aid (Good for 3 years)
CPR/AED for Lifeguards (Good for 2 years)

CPR Classes are two days and are held at our office.
Thursday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm

CPR for employees is $100
CPR for non-employees is $150
Payment is due on the first day of class.

CPR Only Schedule
March: 1&2, 8&9, 15&16, 22&23, 29&30
April: 5&6, 12&13, 19&20, 26&27
May: 3&4, 10&11, 17&18, 24&25

Lifeguard Classes (include CPR) are four days:
At Office: Thursday 5:00pm – 10:00pm
At Office: Friday 5:00pm – 10:00pm
At Pool: Saturday 9:00am – 7:00pm
At Office: Sunday 9:00am – 7:00pm

Lifeguard & CPR for employees is $200 (this includes the cost of an $85 uniform)
Lifeguard & CPR for non-employees is $250 (must be paid in full first day of class)
50% of payment is due by first day of class the rest can be deducted out of paycheck if you are an employee.

March 1-4
March 15-19
March 29 – April 1
April 12-15
April 19-22
May 3-6
May 17-20

Spring Area Pool
March 8-12
March 22-25
April 5-8
April 12-15
April 26-29
May 10-13

All training must be done consecutively, because different classes may move at different speeds

The total balance of the class must be paid by the first day of class (we accept Credit Cards, Checks, and cash)
